Background and Inspiration
I was born many moons ago, 60 years worth as of 2023. I created this artwork as a way of reflecting about my life and the days since my birth. Each of the 21,916 dots represents one day of my life, with the 755 larger dots representing the full moons during that time span. The twelve calendar months are shown as sinusoidal variations in the radius of the spiral. The spiral completes a year after one full rotation.
